Next week, this image will be shown at the Calumet Gallery in New York City along with a number of other photographers’ work as a part of the YPA’s Mentoring Program exhibition, entitled Hometown.
I’m very pleased to be a part of this show, along with some of my peers from SPAO: Josh Hotz, Mike Marquette, and Jessie Park-Wheeler.
New York folks, add yourself to the facebook event, and stop by on the 26th to check out some great artwork! :)

EXHIBITION NO. 7
On Friday, April 20th between 15:00 and 21:00, the School of the Photographic Arts: Ottawa will host the vernissage of Exhibition No. 7, a compelling blend of work from students in all three levels of the SPAO Portfolio Program. This group of work pays tribute to classic processes while reflecting ideas of self-discovery, our natural environments and the contemporary social issues that surround them.
Come celebrate with us and view the achievements of this exceptional group in their pursuit of VISION, CONTENT and CRAFT.
We are located at 168 Dalhousie, at the corner of Bruyère, in the Byward Market.

In ten days I will be participating in my final SPAO show as a student. I’m very excited to be a part of Exhibition no. 7; there should be some really fantastic work by the first and second years, and of course there will be something from yours truly and my fellow third year Caroline Tallmadge! Come by any time between 3pm and 9pm on the 20th, or stop by sometime in the following week. More information can be found here.
ps. follow the SPAO student blog for some awesome profiles on students, and to get a sneak peek at what Exhibition No. 7 will have to offer!
