Two images from a trip I took to New York back in August of 2012.

These images represent a little bit of a new direction for me in my ongoing series LATITUDE, and I’m looking forward to working more in this style.

Tomorrow, I’m on my way to Toronto; I’m looking forward to making some art while I’m there.

Thoughts of traveling & photography always bring me to thoughts of my series LATITUDE. For now, here are two older images from that series.

I am very excited to finally announce that I have a solo show opening at the Alliance Française of Ottawa on May 2nd. The show is called Latitude and will be an exploration of landscape and travel photography.

Often, I am unable to fully process and understand my emotions at the time I am experiencing them. My camera often seems to understand me better than I understand myself – it effectively represents how I feel in that moment faster than I can process it, and therefore is more successful at representing my state of mind than I am. These landscapes are an effective means of representing the broad scope of human emotion. Each image says much more about my experiences and interpretation of the world than words ever could.

The vernissage is Wednesday, May 2, between 6 - 8 pm, and the show will be open until May 30th! Hope to see you there on opening night, or later in the month!
